Michael is a credentialed executive coach from the International Coaching Federation and the European Mentoring & Coaching Council, and an associate coach and faculty with the Center for Creative Leadership, Duke Corporate Education, and National University of Singapore. He helps his clients express their best selves in a complex world by enhancing their inner game and optimising the interdependencies between the competing priorities they face.
Lead Your Mind – From Automatic Reactions to Choiceful Responses (linkedin.com/lead-your-mind), Michael’s first book, is a synthesis of his corporate and coaching experiences, and understanding of psychology, emotional intelligence, and spirituality. It shows readers how they can live happier and more productive lives by recognising and overcoming their mind traps.
Trained in finance and accounting, Michael transitioned to HR and his last two corporate roles were Head for Organisation and Talent Development for General Electric Healthcare APAC and United Overseas Bank Group, covering SEA, China, Japan, Korea, and Australia, with a mandate for developing strategic talent and shaping organisational culture.
Integral and holistic development is important to Michael. He is currently deepening his understanding of philosophy and neuroscience, and learning how to play pickleball. He meditates daily and enjoys taking silent walks in the Singapore Botanic Gardens. His wife and children keep him up to date on the latest K-pop and K-drama news.
Michael holds an MBA (Warwick) and a B.Acc (National University of Singapore).
