Eileen Preisser is a full professor of Executive Program Management at Defense Acquisition University (DAU). Within this role, she directs and manages comprehensive acquisition mission assistance and certification programs to ensure fulfillment of requirements, fiscal adequacy and planned progress of major defense acquisition programs. As a professor, she develops and executes classroom education and training on implementation and management of programs against DoD acquisition polices and guidance. She has detailed knowledge of the legislation, regulations, and methods used in program management in addition to knowledge of business and industry practices, sources of supply, cost and quality factors, and requirements.
Dr. Preisser has over 36 years’ experience working acquisition programs in the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DOD). Prior to her time with DAU, she served in U.S. Government senior-level positions as well as in space industry leadership positions at both Orion AST and Raytheon. Her positions in both sectors have given her a dual perspective on acquisition programming and execution and she teaches polarity principles and advises organizations across the U.S. Government on polarity tensions.
